If you do the DLC's before ending the game those dialogues change and get adjusted. :) I prefer doing them before the end because I love some of the craft materials I get.
DA2 is not necessary to play whatsoever. DA2 is worth it to play insofar as you can hack the bejeezus out of it with the console function on the PC version. It makes the story a tiny bit more tolerable when you can annihilate whole hordes of bandits in seconds and cut a huge amount of time out. The descent I think is fine to be started whenever, same with the avaar one, but I found they’re higher leveled areas for when you can’t level up as much with the base game. Just make sure to check if you hit the level requirements for each of those dlc areas and you can go ahead and start them whenever you please. The first dragon age game I ever played was Inquisition. I went in with absolutely 0 context and it became my new favorite game immediately. It made me appreciate the previous games that much more when I did eventually play them. I have replayed this game probably a dozen times over the years. The Golems of Amgarrak DLC for Dragon Age: Origins asks the player to return to the Deep Roads. Their goal is to help a man named Jerrik Dace find his family's ancestral home (now a part of the Deep Roads, overrun by Darkspawn), and discover their secrets for creating golems. While this DLC isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, it just ninetozero • 8 yr. ago. Best order is probably release order: base game, Hakkon, Descent, Trespasser. Hakkon and Descent feel more appropriate as a look into the kind of things your Inquisitor does in those two years between the end of the base game and the start of the Exalted Council, than as a hiatus you take mid-campaign to do other aM5GL.
