The entry-level engine was a 70 PS 1.2-litre petrol, while turbo and non-turbo 1.4s offered 100 PS and 90 PS respectively. The 1.3 CDTI continued with 75PS, now hitting as little as 85g/km CO 2 emissions, and was capable of 3.2 L/100 km economy. An ecoFLEX version was available from launch, too, with target CO 2 emissions of under 85g/km.

^{Re: Clio 1.6 16V compression test ? Well the 1400 has gone, got written off, but now ive got a 1600 version. Its got a slight judder when idling, ive done the copression test and the readings are 8-10 bar (1-4),}
